Explorer of the Year

Luc Perez, an Associate Member of Chap. 0049, receives honors from Chula Vista Police Dept. Chief Berajano. Luc was named Explorer of the Year and presented with a plaque.

The plaque reads, in part: “The Explorer of the Year Award is presented to you for your outstanding commitment to the Chula Vista Police Dept. Explorer Post. Since joining the program over 2 years ago you have consistently offered your assistance in additional duties beyond the scope of your rank. In 2012 you volunteered over 150 hours to the Post, which includes many DUI checkpoints and various civic events throughout San Diego County.”

Luc is a full-time student at a local college and he also volunteers at the Chula Vista Veterans Home. “ATTA BOY, LUC” … from the Sunny Jones Chapter.
